Environmental
The Circular Economy applied to plastics

Of the electricity used in the Italian headquarter comes from renewable sources.

Recycling plants: EcoTeMa in Russia and Replastica in Romania.
The recycled plastic is used in our other production plants.
We subjected several product lines to an in-depth investigation to determine the consumption of resources and the environmental impacts of the products lifecycle.
We have been awarded the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) declaration for many of our products.

EPD
We use “Plastica Seconda Vita” certified recycled plastic, ensuring traceability, quality, and environmental responsibility.
PSV certification is issued under a scheme affiliated with PolyCert Europe.

At our Replastica recycling plant in Romania, we transform post-consumer packaging waste into HDPE pellets, making a tangible contribution to the circular economy. Achieving RecyClass certification attests to the quality of the process and the traceability of the recycled material, ensuring compliance with recognised European standards. This achievement reinforces our commitment to sustainable and transparent solutions throughout the supply chain.
Our production approach aligns with the goals of SDG 12—Responsible Consumption and Production—through the recovery and reintroduction of recycled plastic into our production cycles.
Social
We promote corporate wellness initiatives designed to support employees’ well-being and improve the quality of work.
TeMa is one of the founding members of the Prealpi Trevigiane Industrial Park Association.
We are participating in a regional project focused on the redevelopment of the industrial area and sustainable development, with initiatives dedicated to the
- environment,
- mobility,
- community services.
The project is associated with University IUAV (Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia).
Physical health and wellbeing
As to support the employees in their health the company covers a part of the cost for certain
visits and treatments in an affiliated medical centre.
TeMa also provides discounts through the affiliation with a gym near to the primary establishment.

Safety is a priority.
Over time, the company has strengthened its commitment to safety by investing in technological and organisational solutions, including the recent introduction in Italy of a new fleet of forklift trucks equipped with artificial intelligence systems to prevent collisions with pedestrians and between vehicles.
Contributing to the connection of young generations to the workplace.
Every year we connect to one school where we host classes of students, we show our work model, expertise and plan a lesson based on the students’ specific field of study. The students then take home a project to solve, an opportunity for them to research and for us to both be given out-of-the-box ideas and spot young talents to nurture.

We introduced the professional figure of a Trainer to improve the training and induction processes for new staff.

Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is a policy of the South African government that measures a company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and economic inclusion. Our subsidiary TeMa South Africa was awarded Level 2 certification.
